This Delivery and Returns Policy outlines the delivery, collection and returns procedures of TargetRange Australia (“we”, “us” or “our”).

This Policy applies to all products purchased through our website or other authorised sales channels. Unless otherwise stated, terms used in this Policy have the meanings given to them in our Terms and Conditions, available on the TargetRange Australia website.

1. Delivery Costs and Charges

Delivery and freight charges are payable in addition to the purchase price of the relevant Product. Applicable delivery costs will be calculated and displayed during checkout or otherwise communicated to you before your Order is finalised.

Delivery charges must be paid at the time of placing your Order, unless alternative payment arrangements have been agreed upon.

We will make reasonable efforts to process and dispatch Orders within the estimated timeframes communicated to you. However, delivery timeframes are estimates only and may be affected by courier availability, transport conditions, regulatory requirements or circumstances beyond our control.

You are responsible for any applicable duties, taxes, customs charges or other government-imposed fees associated with your Order, where applicable.

2. Delivery Arrangements and Nominated Locations

We aim to provide customers with flexibility when selecting a suitable delivery or collection location.

When placing an Order, you may nominate your preferred delivery or collection location. Depending on the nature of the Product, this may include a residential address, business address, authorised firearms dealer or another suitable location permitted under applicable laws.

Firearms and regulated products

Due to the regulatory requirements governing firearms and certain other controlled Products, additional delivery and collection restrictions may apply.

Firearms, airguns, shotguns and other regulated Products may only be transported, delivered or transferred in accordance with the applicable Commonwealth, state and territory legislation.

Where a Product cannot legally be delivered to your nominated address, we will contact you to discuss an alternative lawful delivery or collection arrangement.

We reserve the right to assess and approve nominated delivery locations to ensure compliance with applicable legislation, transport requirements and our delivery procedures.

When placing an Order, you will be advised of the proposed delivery or collection arrangements as soon as reasonably practicable. All delivery and collection dates are estimates and may change.

Customer licensing and documentation

You warrant that, at the time of placing your Order, you hold or are legally entitled to obtain all licences, permits, approvals, identification and other documentation required to purchase and take possession of the relevant Product (“Required Documentation”).

Before releasing or delivering a regulated Product, we may require you to provide evidence of your eligibility, including:

  • A current and valid firearms licence of the appropriate category.
  • Any required permit to acquire or other relevant authorisation.
  • Valid identification.
  • Any additional documentation required by the relevant firearms authority or applicable legislation.

You must present the Required Documentation when requested by us, an authorised delivery agent or the receiving dealer.

You warrant that all information and documentation supplied to us is accurate, current, genuine and has not been obtained fraudulently.

We reserve the right to verify the authenticity and validity of any documentation provided. You authorise us to make reasonable enquiries with relevant authorities, dealers or other appropriate third parties for verification purposes, subject to applicable privacy laws.

If you cannot satisfy the applicable legal or documentation requirements, we may suspend or refuse the release of the relevant Product and, where appropriate, cancel the Order. Any cancellation, refund or associated costs will be dealt with in accordance with our Terms and Conditions and applicable consumer laws.

3. Shipping, Risk and Ownership

Once an Order has been paid for in full and all applicable regulatory requirements have been satisfied, we will arrange dispatch using an appropriate carrier or delivery service.

Where permitted, delivery arrangements may be made to a location nominated by the customer and accepted by TargetRange Australia.

Ownership of a Product remains with TargetRange Australia until full payment has been received, subject to applicable laws.

Risk in a Product passes in accordance with applicable Australian Consumer Law and other relevant legislation. Generally:

  • Where we arrange delivery, risk passes when the Product is delivered into your possession or the possession of your nominated recipient.
  • Where delivery is to an authorised dealer or approved collection location nominated or agreed upon by you, risk passes in accordance with the applicable legal requirements and the agreed delivery arrangements.
  • Where you independently engage a carrier to transport a Product, risk will be determined in accordance with applicable consumer laws.

If delivery cannot be completed because you or your nominated recipient is unavailable, or the receiving location cannot accept the Product, the carrier may retain the Product and arrange another delivery attempt or return it to us.

Any reasonable additional storage, return freight or redelivery charges arising from circumstances within your control may be payable by you, subject to applicable law.

If an Order is delivered to an approved collection location and is not collected within the timeframe communicated to you, the Product may be returned to us. You will need to contact our team to arrange an alternative delivery or collection arrangement. Applicable storage, return freight or redelivery charges may apply.

4. Returns and Exchanges

4.1 General Returns

If you wish to return a Product, please contact TargetRange Australia before sending the item back.

Our team will explain the applicable return procedure and provide any forms or instructions required.

Returned Products must:

  • Include the original invoice or proof of purchase.
  • Be accompanied by any documentation reasonably required to process the return.
  • Be securely and appropriately packaged for transport.
  • Be returned in accordance with any applicable firearms transportation and handling requirements.

Certain Products may be subject to additional return restrictions due to their nature or regulatory classification.

Nothing in this Policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

4.2 Faulty, Damaged or Defective Products

We take product quality seriously and aim to resolve any issues as efficiently as possible.

If you receive a Product that is faulty, damaged or defective, please notify us as soon as reasonably possible and provide details of the issue.

We may request photographs, supporting information, proof of purchase or an inspection of the Product to assess the issue.

All claims will be assessed in accordance with the manufacturer’s warranty, where applicable, our Terms and Conditions and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Where a Product has a failure covered by consumer guarantees, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund depending on the nature and seriousness of the failure.

4.3 Return Procedure

Before returning any Product, you must contact our customer service team and obtain return instructions.

Depending on the Product and circumstances, we may require:

  • Completion of a return authorisation form.
  • Return of the Product to a nominated or approved return address.
  • Presentation of the original invoice or proof of purchase.
  • Additional licensing or transport documentation for regulated Products.

Please do not send firearms or other regulated Products to us without first receiving confirmation of the appropriate return arrangements.

4.4 Return Freight and Associated Costs

Customers may be responsible for reasonable return freight or postage costs where a return is requested for reasons other than a fault, defect or failure covered by consumer guarantees.

Where a Product is confirmed to be defective or otherwise eligible for a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law, reasonable return transportation costs will be handled in accordance with your statutory rights.

Where we agree to reimburse return freight costs, you may be required to provide proof of payment.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that returned Products are appropriately packaged and transported using a lawful and suitable delivery method.

Risk associated with returned Products will be determined in accordance with applicable law. We recommend using an appropriately insured and traceable delivery service wherever available.
